Well I'm on a roll so you get TWO postings today.... I recently signed up for Your Vintage Gluebookonline class with Mary Green over at Green Paper. I had been admiring her work for awhile and saw techniques I thought I could use for fabric collages. Have no idea where I found the time - but here are some of my efforts based on Mary's very well explained instructions....
It has been fun going through my boxes of "stuff" to find things I can use... The only rules - glue, paper, scissors - you'd think that would be easy but it was not! I constantly wanted to add other stuff.
You need to go check out what others created as a result of Mary's class - all of it really AWESOME! Something different and simple to do while on vacation.... Jewels
Glad to see your photos and that you had a relaxing yet ambitious time in Canada. The walks must feel very good and the time to craft even better. I cut a quilt while I was up north for me to work on in the car while we are on the way to Cape Cod for a family vacation soon. Then Elle and I are off to Lake Placid New York for a skating competiton a week after that. So I am sure to have a very lot of time to work on hand piecing this quilt.
Love what you are doing, Julie! Those are wonderful. You most certainly have the eye to do those lovely pages - and all the other art projects. I visited the website and really like what I see there. Also, your cottage looks wonderful and you again have posted some great photos. Glad you got some "Julie" time in. Carol
Love the collages you made - the gluebook - scissors, glue and paper only - is a challenge- but Mary does have some tricks to make it easier. That reminds me- I have some images I printed for my gluebook- but it IS hard to find the time...
