Ah the Girls of Summer…
…staying at their favorite Motel LOL. I am sure if the
picture was in colour one of them would surely be wearing Citron Green & Turquoise don’t you think!
And no, none of these fine ladies are relatives - just using up my very large collection of black and white photos I have thrifted. Watercolor, ink and stamping for the background. My first Summer of Colour piece…Enjoy. Jewels
p.s. special message to Jo - okay telling me I have to figure out how to "make" citron green was absolutely no help girlfriend - I stressed out for several days trying to get it right (is that how it is to be for 6 weeks) then found an ink pad that was good enough LOL
loving the girls of summer and your LO. Happy SOC, Annette x

ReplyDeleteLove love love that photo, what a precious find, Jewels! You've told a wonderful story with this little postcard :)
ReplyDeleteRe paint mixing - I recall saying that you would waste a lot of time and paint mixing them to get the required colours - I never said you'd achieve your aim, haha! That ink pad saved the day :)

Your summer girls are perfect. Love them and your artwork!
ReplyDeleteGood old polyester pantsuits. My mom ran around in those for a decade or two before I convinced her to move on, fashion-wise.
ReplyDeleteGreat pic and cool postcard(?). Glad to see you're doing the SOC too.
FABULOUS!! I would not want to tangle with Martha either! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty summer-of-color piece and such a wonderful idea! I like it very much!
