Last night hubby and I went to see Julie and Julia (what’s not to like about a movie with the name Julie in the title? ;->). We had actually heard Julie Powell's story on NPR over a year ago. She decides to cook every recipe in Julia Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking in 365 days. Meryl Streep plays Julia Child and is just wonderful (I’ve always liked her). Almost makes me want to cook more! Though I just cringe every time I think about all the butter used! If you get a chance, go see this “chick flick” even a hubby can enjoy…

Well maybe not "me"...but

I am so anxious to see that! Sherry and I saw the prevues a couple of weeks ago and right away that is one to go see. Bill, my son, said Ann and her sister took their mom to see it in KC this weekend and they just loved it. I think both the actresses are super. :-) Carol
ReplyDeleteMy friend Cathy and I are planning on seeing it after it's been here a couple of weeks. We still have "cheap Tuesdays" when you can get 2 tickets for $8.50!
ReplyDeleteBTW thanks SO MUCH for the use of your cottage for my Garden Tour Weekend. It was absolutely fabulous and very inspiring. A book I bought from one of the garden says "If you ever need an excuse to do a garden tour, tell everyone you're doing research!" I did alot of "research" this weekend.
