Old Craft magazines and leaflets - I've been finding "old" things are the "new" things these days
Two Christmas Books (thrifted at different shops a week apart - it was meant to be!)
There were, I consider, two scores. The first was 35 hankies (just a sample here) for $6.00 CDN (that's $5.70 US).
There were some real pretty ones, including my first round hankie. They all need a good cleaning though...
But I thought this was the best...

...when I looked through some old books I brought back I found a lovely Christmas book mark dated 1940 on the back ...sigh, with everything that passed this week I feel like our vacation was months ago....
Sounds like you had a great time, Julie. I love the hankies. I still hand my kids one when they get a cold to tuck in their sleeve. Just kind of reminds me of my mom and grandma. A Kleenex just doesn't do the job. Leslie
ReplyDeleteSo nice to find a post again from you - figured you were busy as a little bee. Glad you got to do some really good thrifting (you found some really good stuff!). Love the hankies! I had a few but gave them to Molly after she, Sherry and I were in an antique store one day. Of the three granddaughters, I think Molly is the one who loves the old stuff like I do. Hope your hubby is feeling better! See you Tuesday and I will bring along those extra blocks. Carol
ReplyDeleteI CALL DIBBIES ON THE OLD NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS BOOK WHEN YOU DON'T WANT IT ANYMORE!!!!! XOXOX
