How to Read a Blueprint
Back in July 2010 (I checked) I started my first Vintage Gluebook following instructions from Mary Green...wow I have come along way since then. I realized I had not done any pages in quite some time and suddenly got the urge.
The main reason was the lady (think I'll call her Gilda - don't ask me why) has these cool white gloves which would have been chopped off if I had used her for an ATC (what a shame that would have been , LOL). I had her with the house graphics on my craft table for quite some time and then I managed to thrift some lovely, lovely gift wrap which I used in the background.

ReplyDeletevery cool, thank you much for sharing. i recently started working at a thrift store and have scored several vintage books & magazines. retro always makes me smile but i never really know where to start so because of your sharing i am challenged/inspired to put bits together. blest be :)
ReplyDeleteOooooh, I haven't done any gluebooking for ages, you make me want to get stuck in again! As always, Jewels, your artwork is gorgeous, I love the way you select your patterns and images and put them together with such apparent ease. I'm so glad Gilda didn't have to have her gloved hands amputated!

You go girl! Gilda needs some friends. Maybe she will have a party or decorate her lovely house...as seen in the basckground. I love the way you make up stories. There definitely is a story behind Gilda. Hugs. Beth
ReplyDeleteI swear we lived in that exact house when I was a kid. And I had a pair of (shorter) white gloves that lived in my sock drawer and that I never wore even once. But I think every girl was supposed to own a pair. Great glue book page. Makes me wanna go play like everyone else has said.
