Well it finally happened...
2 hour delay for school openings this morning - which meant hubby had a little extra time to get to work
and lovely photo opportunities around the wood lot
I love watching the birds against the white - this morning everyone showed up for a good feed (mourning doves, chickadees, woodpeckers, nut hatch and squirrels....)
Despite the amount of snow covering up their source
The day is sunny so all that snow is going to melt away
Which will make my snowmen look sorry...
They were enjoying the view!
Enjoy, Jewels
What a great snow. We had no power from 10 last night til around 2 this afternoon. We started to Detroit at around 9am but the roads were just in too bad of shape so we returned home at around Bridgeport. Better safe than sorry, for sure. Mom and Daughter will live to skate another day. lol
ReplyDeleteBrrrrrrrr, chilly! Beautiful photos though, particularly the first one with the gorgeous red berries looking so striking against the white.
ReplyDeleteKeep warm.
xx
It's pretty, but why does it have to last sooo long?? Hugs. bb
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! However, I usually just want it to snow once, near Christmas and then I'm done!

Snow with red (berries, cardinals) is such a great combination. All the pics are good but I really like the last one, the base of (something) peeking out from under its layer of snow. Your snowmen are cute too. Wintry without being specifically Christmas. You live in such a pretty place.
